The Professional Women (PROWAN) of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) is set to h

ost its 2026 Capacity Building Seminar, bringing together accounting professionals and stakeholders for a day of learning, networking and professional development.
The seminar, scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2026, will hold from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.at the Federal Ministry of Finance Headquarters Auditorium.
Themed “From Compliance to Impact: How Women Can Advance Transparency and Accountability in Nigeria’s Financial System,” the seminar will focus on strengthening the capacity of women accountants to contribute meaningfully to transparency, accountability and improved financial management in Nigeria.
The programme will also feature discussions around “
Women, Technology and the Future of Accountancy in Nigeria,” highlighting the growing importance of technology, innovation and digital skills in the accounting profession.
The seminar will be chaired by Dr. Rakya Opemi Yusuf, FCNA, PROWAN National Chairman, while distinguished professionals, including Dr. Akintunde Ogunsola, FCNA; Dr. Ajakpomevi Uziewe, FCTI; and Dr. Esther Emeka-Irem, are billed as guest speakers.
The event is also expected to provide participants with opportunities to learn, exchange professional experiences, build networks and support the PROWAN Coordinator, Chief Route Commander Ngozi Princess Chukwujekwu.
According to the organisers, participation is open to interested professionals at a fee of ₦15,000. Members and colleagues have been encouraged to attend and take advantage of the capacity-building opportunities the seminar offers.
The organisers, in an invitation signed by the PRO, Dr. Ticky Blessing, FCTI, urged participants to “be informed, be empowered, and be there” as PROWAN continues to promote professional excellence, accountability and women’s advancement in Nigeria’s accounting sector.
