NRS Chairman Receives Newly Appointed J.P. Morgan Nigeria MD in Abuja
The Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr Zacch Adedeji, has described the growing presence of global financial institution, J.P. Morgan, in Nigeria as a strong indication of renewed international investor confidence in the country's economic direction.
Adedeji made this observation on Monday, October 26, 2026, when he received the newly appointed Managing Director of J.P. Morgan Nigeria, Mr Adedapo Olagunju, during a courtesy visit to the NRS headquarters in Abuja.
Welcoming his guest, the NRS Chairman noted that the increasing interest of leading international financial institutions in Nigeria reflects growing confidence in the credibility, stability and predictability being established through the bold economic reforms and fiscal policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.
He emphasised that a transparent, efficient and predictable fiscal environment remains critical to attracting global capital, strengthening institutional partnerships and positioning Nigeria as a competitive destination for investment.
According to him, as the ongoing reforms continue to take shape, the confidence demonstrated by globally recognised financial institutions such as J.P. Morgan sends a positive signal about Nigeria's commitment to building a resilient economy anchored on sustainable growth and long-term investment.
The visit underscores the importance of sustained engagement between Nigeria's fiscal institutions and international financial organisations in advancing economic stability, deepening investor confidence and strengthening the country's position in the global financial landscape.
