ANAN, CITN Hold 6th Joint Council Retreat on Fiscal Reforms in Kano

The 6th Joint Council Retreat of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) is currently underway in Kano, bringing together members of the governing councils of both professional bodies for strategic engagement on Nigeria's fiscal future.
The three-day retreat, which runs from July 16 to 18, 2026, is themed "Beyond the Reset: Advancing Fiscal Reforms for Sustainable Economic Growth in Nigeria." The programme provides a platform for participants to deliberate on policy reforms, institutional collaboration, and innovative strategies aimed at strengthening Nigeria's fiscal framework and promoting sustainable economic development.
The retreat highlights the continued partnership between ANAN and CITN in supporting reforms that enhance fiscal responsibility, improve tax administration, and contribute to national economic growth.
Participants are expected to examine key fiscal challenges, share professional insights, and develop practical recommendations that will support government efforts to build a more resilient and inclusive economy.
ABF News wishes both Institutes productive deliberations and a successful retreat, with outcomes that will contribute meaningfully to advancing fiscal reforms and sustainable economic growth in Nigeria and beyond.
